Econ ministry may revise Russia’s 2016 GDP forecast on low oil
BRUSSELS, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Economic Development Ministry may revise its gross domestic product (GDP) forecast for 2016 due to low oil prices, Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told reporters Monday.
“The forecast revision is possible. There are grounds to think about it,” he said.
According to the current outlook, Russia’s economy may grow 0.7% in 2016 against a 3.9% fall expected in 2015.
Brent fell to about U.S. $36.4 per barrel, according to data of the ICE trading platform.
